April Fool's Party Update!

It's coming fast - the annual April Fool's Party happens in Club Penguin starting April 1st! The team's been working to make lots of funny things all over the island. There'll be jokes - some practical and some not - and loads of surprises. Also, members will be able to check out an area where they'll have the chance to show off their joke telling skills...

Hello Penguins!

It's always cool to see what you're doing on the island when an event like the Penguin Play Awards happens - we're seeing TONS of you doing different stuff at the Pizza Parlor.

Also, the team loves what you're doing in the Stage and all over the island with your own speeches, interviews and acting! The red carpet's going to be gone on the 28th so make sure to get your votes in.

Me and my friends are throwing our very OWN Penguin Play Awards right in my igloo! I've got the stage, some snacks, a backstage, the velvet ropes, and the red carpets all set up. We're celebrating before the Awards so that we know what to choose during the Awards. By the time that the Penguin Play Awards start, we'll already have our Plays chosen! ;)

What's Coming Up

Hello Penguins!

March is quickly coming to a close, but there's still a lot left to do before it's over! The Penguin Play Awards are still going strong, and this week we'll find out what the top play of 2009 was. Make sure to cast your vote while the booths are still open!

When the awards show wraps up, April will be just around the corner. And for many of you who were around last year, you know what THAT means...



That's right... April first means the April Fools Party is here! This is one of the island's wackiest celebrations, so make sure not to miss all the silly sights and decorations.

The team was wondering if you have any suggestions on how to prepare for April Fool-ness, or if you have a favorite joke you like to play. If so, let us know in the comments!

Herbert's Revenge Sneak Peek

Hello Penguins!

I've got a big sneak peek for you guys today. We've been hearing from a lot of you who want to know more about "Herbert's Revenge", the new Nintendo DS game we're working on.

Last month we showed you some pictures of some mysterious caves. Many of you guessed that agents might have to search the caves to track down Herbert. Well...



It looks like you might be onto something! The picture shows a new mini-game, with some new equipment to help agents swing into action.

I don't want to give too much away yet, but I can say that there are some big things coming up for secret agents.

The team is really interested to hear what everyone thinks so far, and what you think will happen in the game. So let us know in the comments, and keep watching for more updates!

Puffle Rescue

Hello Penguins!

Our new game - Puffle Rescue continues to make news on the island! If you've not played yet, then head to the Mine and join in the rescue mission. The team's really excited to hear what you think!

We've heard from a lot of you wondering how to open the door to the Underwater Room. The note in the Hidden Lake room says to go to the Black Puffle level in Puffle Rescue, and follow a shadow... So head to the first level of the Water Level and see if you can find it.

You'll need to find a way to make sure you have enough air to follow it though. Where will it lead? You'll have to find out!

In other news... Penguin Play Awards start today! There's lots going on down at the Plaza, with interviews taking place on (and off!) the red carpet. What's your favorite? Don't forget to vote and have your say on what comes back to the Stage in April.

Puffle Rescue Tips!

Hi everyone, Screenhog here!

By now many of you have probably tried out the new Puffle Rescue game in the Mine. If you haven't, I definitely suggest heading down and trying it out. It's a lot of fun and very different from other Club Penguin games.

For everyone who's trying to get the hang of the game, I thought I'd post some suggestions and tips that have worked for me so far.

1. Look before you leap... or swim.

It helps to look ahead and plan your jumps. Remember that while you only have a little time to act, looking ahead and waiting for the best chance works well.

2. Sometimes 'close' is close enough.

If you mistime your jump, or if you need to make a fast leap, you can still land safely even if your aim isn't perfect. You'll grab onto moving platforms automatically if you're close enough...


3. Watch for new challenges.

At first, each level you reach will introduce a new challenge. Be cautious - there are tons of break-away platforms and ice chunks, along with sharks, bumpers, cannons and more. Pay close attention until you master all of them...

4. Last but not least, a few hidden tricks...

Have you tried standing on the mine carts until they leave the screen yet? Try it out! And if it gets too dark for you in the mine levels, remember that standing on the black and white check points will give you more light.

It's here! Lots of you are heading to the Mine to play Puffle Rescue and help those missing puffles. The team's really excited to see how you like it! Last week we wanted to hear your daring rescue stories, and Violet5550 said:

I would get a group of pioneering penguins and together we would make a quest for the missing puffles. We would dress up as safely as we could wearing a helmet and safety jacket then get our super long powered torches and set of into the pitch black caves and hopefully rescue all the puffles and be known as heroes! After that we would relax at the coffee shop!

The Penguin Play Awards start this Thursday and you'll be able to dress up, walk the red carpet, and vote for your favorite stage plays in different categories. This week we'd love to hear how you're celebrating the event with your buddies. Let us know!

Puffle Rescue Update

Hello Penguins!

Lots of you have been asking about the new game, and when you'll have the chance to find the missing puffles at the Underground Caves.

Don't worry... the wait is nearly over! Starting this Monday you'll be able to rescue them in the brand new game, Puffle Rescue!

Night Club Secrets

Hello Penguins. Screenhog here again.

We've been hearing reports that the green puffle's missing from the Night Club. Have you seen it?

You know, the Night Club is one of those places where there's often a lot happening. And recently there have been some upgrades that make it even more interesting. You might have noticed that when there's more than 10 of you in the room, the lights change. But did you know that if the majority of you (at least 10) are the same penguin color then even more cool things start to happen?


So the next time you're there, try to get penguins in the Night Club to all turn the same penguin color. Also, if you and your friends have time, see if you can find out what's going on with that missing puffle...

In Other News - Lots of you voted a few weeks ago on a penguin to be carved from ice for the Carnaval de Quebec. As you know, The Rocker penguin won! And here's what it looked like...

Things are going great in the Mine with lots of you joining in the construction. Keep up the hard work! Last week we asked about the bravest underground adventure you'd ever been on with your buddies, and Pengoozle said:

My friends and I went exploring for the lost caves of the dreaded Squidzoid and the terrible Fishzilla! lol We would waddle around pretending to be following a trail or a map and then we'd go underwater and one of us would hide dressed as Squidzoid or Fishzilla and jump out! Can't wait for the undergound to open up again!!!!

Some of you are saying that the missing puffles are down in the Underground Caves, and are getting ready to help find them. So this week, we'd like to hear your daring rescue stories!

Underground Update!

Hello Penguins!

Looks like there are lots of you with your jackhammers helping down in the Mine. Some of you are saying that's where you think Rockhopper's missing puffle Yarr is. There's also some talk that other puffles aren't where they normally are. Where do you think they went?

There's going to be more underground exploration happening near the end of the week. All of this stuff just might be connected to that new game we told you about... Make sure you keep your eyes on what's happening down there!!

Happy77 talks toys!

Greetings Penguins!

A few weeks ago, when the team showed the new orange puffle toy, lots of you wrote how stoked you were. (FYI - I think the orange puffle's HILARIOUS and I'm pretty sure he has a sweet tooth like me.)

Well, the buzz on the island this week is about Rockhopper and there's been some talk around here about a new Rockhopper stuffed toy! I wanted to know more so I asked someone on the team who helps with toys.

Q: The orange puffle seems pretty loved. But what else is new?
A: The newest toys are some 9" stuffed toy penguins - there are a few different ones - including Rockhopper!

Q: Where can we get them?
A: They'll be in Disneyland Resort in California and at Walt Disney World, Florida really soon - and the team's working hard to get them in more places, too - like in Disney Stores and at the CP Online Shop. Keep checking those places. Also, each one comes with a code to unlock items online. And we've updated the Treasure Book!

Q: What should we do if we have toy ideas?
A: Give us all your feedback. Tell us what you like, what you don't like, and what you'd like to see in the future!

Hey - good luck catching up with Rockhopper while he's on the island. I hear he needs your help to find Yarr...

Rockhopper's Here!

Hello Penguins!

The Migrator's landed at the Beach and that means Rockhopper's here! Once you've found the key to his Captain's Quarters (check above the Coffee Shop - it's hidden somewhere in the Book Room), you and your friends can head there and play the Treasure Hunt game. Also, don't forget to check out the rare items he brought with him - Arrrr... you might be lookin' like a pirate real soon.

Rockhopper likes meeting new penguins all over the island, so keep your eyes out for him.

Rockhopper's here this Thursday! Last week we asked you what you'd be doing to welcome him to the island and Stawfairy said:

Me and my buddies like dressing up and pretending we are pirates on his ship. We sail away to new islands and explore club penguin like it's a new island! Then we look for rockhopper! when we find him we dance with him, turn red, and bring our red puffles too!

And speaking of exploring, lots of you've been asking about the Underground Caves - we're going to have an update about those areas later this week. Until then, we'd really like to hear about the bravest underground adventure you've been on with your buddies!

What's Coming Up In March

Hello Penguins!

March has arrived, and that means lots of exciting new events are coming up fast!

Starting this week we begin the countdown to the Penguin Play Awards. For those who didn't make it last year, it's a huge event where everyone votes for their favorite Stage plays from 2009. Check out this sneak peek of the Plaza...

It'll kick off March 19 - How do you think you and your friends will get ready for the red carpet?

In other news, Rockhopper's been spotted in the telescope at the Beacon, so that means he'll be on the island soon. And later this month you can keep your eye out for a big surprise - a brand new game! I can't say much about it, just that you'll need to be quick... and ready to come to the rescue...

New Mission Update!

Hey Agents!

You've been asking and we promised you some more info about the new mission! In a couple months, you'll be using your Penguin Secret Agency skills again to try and stop a very determined Herbert...

What do you think he's planning this time? Look for more mission news in a few weeks.

In the meantime, you can practice your agent skills by doing the previous missions - and continue to keep the island safe. If you're not an agent yet, if your penguin is 30 days old, you can click the M at the top right of your screen. Then click the button that says: "Become a Secret Agent". You'll get to take a quiz to apply.
